(“AIS”) was incorporated on March 7, 1994 at 9:10 am. Brian Keeler and Larry Barley – both with extensive construction experience, formed AIS. Henry “Jay” McCarthy had started Atlantic Inspection Services in Reisterstown, Maryland a short period of time earlier. Originally intending to merge their resources and knowledge together under the Atlantic Inspection Services name it became clear that a separate entity would better serve all of those involved. Other “branches” were formed in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Florida – but these remained independently owned and operated by friends and relatives. Over time, Larry relocated to Southern Maryland and Jay to Florida. This left Brian to develop and formulate the direction of AIS. Communication between Jay, Larry and Brian occurs regularly.
